Meetup has really taken off with our congregation. It’s so easy to “get out the word” to all meetup participants. Love it! Kudos to the Almighty And Amazing Amanda. (OK, that was over the top. But she has been great at organizing.)

Yes, meet-up is a great way to communicate with members and friends. There is room on the sight to put the details of the event, and who to contact for more information. It also comes into the email boxes of the members, so they don’t have to go to a sight; the sight comes to them. This meet-up is used for all gatherings: adult education, social justice meetings at the church, covenant circles at the church and elsewhere. Meet-up is an easy reminder of what is happening in the Fellowship.

As a long-time UU, my constant frustration has been the difficulty of communicating with members and friends. We have a newsletter, weekly announcements, and e-mails, nevertheless sometimes people miss out on activities. Meet-up works because is available at any time (the last minute), it’s an attractive site, and it’s easy to work with. Thanks, Amanda
